Tool Holder Manager

VX CAM allows you to geometrically define tool holders and associate them with individual tools. When you Solid Verify an operation that uses that tool, the tool holder is also included in the verify session. You can visually see the tool holder and detect any collisions with stock and fixtures.
Using the Tool Holder Manager you can select and preview tool holders, create new tool holders and manage tool holder libraries. The Tool Holder Manager is displayed when you pick the Holder button from the CAM Tool Manager. Tool holders are associated with the shape parameters of a particular tool. Be sure to review the Reference section below for ways to apply the Tool Holder Manager.
In Plan
This list contains all the tool holders currently define in the active CAM plan. You can select a tool holder from the list and then pick OK to assign it as a shape parameter for the active tool (if Pick is enabled). Its name will be added to the Tool Shape Form of the tool currently active in the Tool Manager.
Pick/View
These determine if a tool holder is selected as input (Pick) or displayed graphically in the preview window (Preview).
Add to Library ->
If a tool holder library is activated on the right, use this option to add the currently selected tool holder to that library.
Library
Use this section of the manager to activate a tool holder library. Select the folder icon and then use the CAM Browser to locate the Path, File and Library to activate. A tool holder library is a CAM plan that has tool holders added to its library using the option above.

Manager - Other Options
OK - Accepts the currently selected tool holder from the In Plan list as input to the Attach a Holder parameter of the active Tool Shape Form. The tool holder is associated with the shape parameters of the active tool.
New - Use this option to add a new tool holder to the active CAM plan. It will be added to the In Plan list. Use the CAM Browser to locate the Path, File and Shape of the tool holder. A tool holder shape can be a root sketch or a solid part. See Applying VX CAM - Create your Own Tool Holder for the procedure used to create tool holder geometry.
Close - Closes the Tool Holder Manager without accepting a selected tool holder. You can use this option to close the form after managing a tool holder library.
