(Drawing Sheet Level)
Use this command to create bounding box geometry
around one or more 3D layout views. This can be helpful if you want to
see a view's extents or "foot print." The required inputs include
the view and a direction to orient the box. Optionally, you can enlarge
the box and specify a step size increment. You can also place the box
on a unique layer so that it can be turned off before printing.
View - Select layout view (or views) to enclose. Its x and y bounding box values will be displayed in the Optional Inputs section below.
Direction - Specify a direction vector. This direction determines the default x length. The view's positive x direction is selected by default.
Length (X), Width (Y) - If only one view is selected, these values will show the default x and y lengths of the view's bounding box. You can enter a buffer distance to enlarge the box by entering a positive value in the field below each length.
Step Size - Defines the step size that the lengths of the box will snap to. Leave this blank to use the actual values of the view's bounding box.
Layer - By default, the box geometry will be placed on the active layer. You can enter a different layer or pick the folder icon to select a layer.
