Attribute Bundles and Form Commonalities
Attributes (Part/Sketch/Sheet Level)
You can store the attributes of an entity
such as lines, faces, materials, etc. and recall them for later use. These
are called Attribute Bundles. This makes it easy to apply the attributes
of one entity as a group to other entities instead of re-entering the
attribute information repeatedly. You can use the Files Tab of the VX Configuration Form to set the default bundle file.
When you select an attribute bundle the attributes it contains are automatically loaded into the attributes form in question. The Related Topics button below lists all of the entity types whose attributes can be stored as bundles.
The options listed below are similar for each attributes form listed below. Refer to each form for unique options. See also Command Options Forms for other form commonalities. The attribute toggle options are not available on all forms.
Toggles (not available on all forms)
All Off - Turns all of the form's attribute off so that they cannot be altered. They're not locked however. You can toggle individual attributes on or all on using the options below.
Toggle - Toggles a selected attribute on or off depending on its current status. Select the button and then select the attribute on the form.
All On - Turns all attributes on the form on.
File List - Shows the VX file whose attributes are shown in the form. You can select from the recent VX file list or pick the folder icon and select another VX file.
Bundle List - Lists the attribute bundles contained in the active (or selected) VX file. Select a bundle to load it into the form. The Bundles.VX bundle contains the system default attributes.
- Deletes the
attribute bundle currently selected in the list above. The Bundles.VXbundle cannot be deleted.
- Looks up the attributes assigned to an
entity. Select the icon and then select an entity. Its attributes will
be displayed in the form.
- Saves the form's current attributes to
an attribute bundle associated with the active file. Enter a name for
a new bundle and pick OKor double-click on an existing bundle
to overwrite it. The name will be displayed in the Defaults
list above. Select it to display the bundle's attributes.
You need to save the active file in order to permanently store the
bundle with the active file.
