Use this command to open the PARTsolutions PARTviewer application and "check out" a layout view that was previously "checked in" using the PARTshell Check In command at the Drawing Sheet Level. This command is not used to insert 3D views of PARTsolutions components. Use the PARTviewer command at the Drawing Sheet Level to insert 3D views of PARTsolutions components.
When a layout view is "checked-out" of PARTsolutions and inserted into VX, it is first regenerated so that it is updated with the variable table record selected in PARTsolutions. Refer to the PARTsolutions documentation about using the PARTviewer application. A valid license of PARTsolutions is required to operate this command.
Pick PARTshellCheckOut from the PARTsolutions Menu at the Drawing Sheet Level to load the PARTviewer application or pick Check Out Sheet from the PARTsolutions Menu at the file or object levels.
Select the native layout view and load it into PARTviewer.
Select the part you want to insert from the table.
The preview of the layout view in PARTviewer represents the original layout view exported from VX. At this time, the preview will not dynamically update as new selections are made from the table.
Pick the Export to CAD System

PARTviewer will either collapse or exit depending which icon is selected in step 5.
Select the view location point.
Enter the view scale factor.
Enter the view label.
The view is created in VX and displayed in the active drawing sheet.
