PARTconnection (2D)

Sheet Level)
Use this command to open the PARTsolutions PARTconnection application. You can then select a 2D view of a range of 3D fastener assemblies based on two plate thicknesses (i.e., the plates being fastened).
You can specify the fastener components (e.g., bolt, nut, waster, etc.) within PARTconnection and then insert the 2D view as a layout view in the active VX drawing sheet. Refer to the PARTsolutions documentation about using the PARTconnection application. A valid license of PARTsolutions is required to operate this command.
Pick PARTconnection from the PARTsolutions Menu to load the PARTconnection application.
Enter the first and second plate thickness.
The PARTconnection application is then loaded.
Build the fastener assembly within PARTconnection by selecting the various components from the tables. A preview of the fastener assembly will be displayed.
Pick the 2D View icon
to display the 2D View window.
From the 2D View window, select the view to create (e.g., Front, Rear, Right, etc.).
In PARTconnection, pick
the Export to CAD System icon 
.
PARTassembly will either collapse or exit depending which icon is selected in step 6.
Select the view location point.
Enter the view scale factor.
Enter the view label.
The view is created in VX and displayed in the active drawing sheet.
