PARTsolutions (Part
Level)
Use this command to open the PARTsolutions PARTconnection application for inserting a range of 3D fastener assemblies based on two plate thicknesses (i.e., the plates being fastened). You can specify the fastener components (e.g., bolt, nut, waster, etc.) within PARTconnection and then insert the assembly as a component in the active VX assembly.
Note that an assembly is first created and added to the active VX file before the insertion occurs. Refer to the PARTsolutions documentation about using the PARTconnection application. A valid license of PARTsolutions is required to operate this command.
At the Part Level, pick PARTconnection from the PARTsolutions Menu.
Select the connector location.
Select the bottom face of the
bottom plate.
The PARTconnection application is then loaded.
Build the fastener assembly within PARTconnection by selecting the various components from the tables. A preview of the fastener assembly will be displayed.
In PARTconnection, pick
the Export to CAD System icon 
.
PARTconnection will either collapse or exit depending on which icon is selected.
In VX, select the insertion point for the new fastener assembly component.
Plane
Use a datum plane or face to locate the component instance.
