Stock Form for Solid Verify

 

Use the Stock Form shown below to define the stock to use for the Solid Verify session.  Select a stock definition or other options as desired.

 

You can use the Simple Box or Cylinder buttons to create a simple bounding box or cylinder that encompasses all of the geometry to be machined.  Pick Accept to accept the stock and close the form.

 

In Setup

 

This lists all components of class "Stock" currently defined in the setup.  Use the CAM Component Manager to insert CAM components.  You can assign the CAM Class attribute "Stock" to a component at the Part Level using the Standard Attributes Tab of the Part Attributes Form.  At the CAM Level you can assign or change a CAM component's class by right-clicking on the component in the CAM Plan Manager and selecting Edit Class.  A list of classes will be displayed.  This is part of the CAM Component Manager.

 

 

Workpiece

 

The Workpiece section lists the work pieces form previous verify sessions that have been saved using the Stock Tab of the Simulation Options Form.  A work piece is created from a CAM component of class "Stock" when a verify session is initiated.  The work piece can contain the verify results of any combination of tool path operations.  

 

Select the Format button to toggle between a mesh and a faceted stock representation.  Mesh means that the work piece will be a surface model and Facet means that it will be a polygonal faceted model.

 

Use the Inquire and Delete buttons to inquire information about a work piece or to delete a work piece.

 

 

Simple Box

 

Select Simple Box and complete the form below to define a simple bounding box that encompasses the entire tool paths that are to be verified during the session. The stock definition will be saved automatically for future sessions.

Cylinder

 

Select Cylinder and complete the form below to define a simple bounding cylinder that encompasses the entire tool paths that are to be verified during the session. The stock definition will be saved automatically for future sessions.  The Reference Point is used to control the stock location and the Axis Vector is used to control the stock orientation.

STL File

 

Select STL File to load a stock solid that was saved as an STL file.  Enter the file name with a ".stl" extension or select the folder icon and the File Browser to locate the file.  Pick Accept to load the file into the Stock Form.
