CAM Operation Config File Editor
Edit (CAM Level)
This form supports the localization of default settings for all Operation Definition types. Default settings for all Operation Definitions are set in editable *.cfg files within the cam_config directory. However, it is strongly recommended that the Config File Editor be used instead of directly editing these files.

Pick the Operation Type button and select an Operation Type to edit.
Select a line in the Config File Listing to edit. It's ValueType and field Value will be displayed.
Set the fieldValue as desired.
Pick Accept, Reset, or Done as desired.

Config File Listing
Selecting one of the lines in the List highlights that line and presents the Value Type and current default field value discussed below.
When VX CAM is first installed, many fields do not have an entry in this line. The first time the form is displayed, the line will be blank. Most frequently, the blank entries are where you would enter the name of another CAM object (such as the name of a Frame or a Speed Feed Table). Sometimes it is an optional field which does not require an input.
Refer to the Notes section below for the format and an example of each field type.
Value Type
The Value Type for the line selected in the List is displayed in the window to the right of this button. See below for a description of the two possible value types.
Millimeter Value, Inch Value

Enter numeric values if the value type is S. If the value type is C, pick the buttons and select from a list of possible values. See below for a description of the two possible value types.
S- Numbers or strings which do NOT come from an option list. If the "field type" is "S " then you are free to enter values which are appropriate to the field to which it applies.
C -Numbers or strings which DO come from an option list. If the "fieldtype" is "C " then the "value" buttons will present a list containing the contents of the option list for that field. Selecting an entry from the list removes the list and puts that entry into the appropriate "value" input window.
Accept
