Objects More Options (CAM Level)
If you selected yes on the CAM Import Options Form indicating that the first line in the object library file defines keywords, additional detailed options are also available. This form allows you control over which keywords to import.
By default, all field keywords are imported unless you use this form to specifically select which field keywords (and in what order) to be imported. You can also save the keyword selection list to a definition file and read it into the form during future imports from the same CAM application.
Select
from the Available Keyword List on the left and use the add
or add all buttons to move them to the Selected Keyword List
on the right. The keywords listed on the right lists the VX CAM field
keywords that the field keywords contained in the import file will be
mapped to.
Order this list based on the order of the field keywords in the first
line of the import file. Even if the name of the keywords are different
between VX CAM and the import file, the values will be imported based
on the order of the Selected Keyword List.
When all of the desired keywords are selected (and ordered), pick OK to accept them and close the form.
Available Keyword List
Lists all available field keywords located in VX CAM for the selected CAM object class (e.g., tool, machine, speed/feed). The field keywords represent the property names located on the appropriate CAM manager form buttons (e.g., name, class, type, subtype, etc of the Tool Manager Form).
Add -->
Adds the selected keyword(s) to the Selected Keyword List on the right.
Add All -->
Adds all keywords to the Selected Keyword List on the right.
Selected Keyword List
Lists the VX CAM field keywords that the field keywords contained in the import file will be mapped to. Order this list based on the order of the field keywords in the first line of the import file. Even if the name of the keywords are different between VX CAM and the import file, the values will be imported based on the order of the Selected Keyword List.

Removes the selected keyword(s) from the Selected Keyword List.
<-- Remove All
Removes all keywords from the Selected Keyword List.
Read File
Displays the FileBrowser to read a field keyword definition file created using the save file button (see below).
Select the definition file to read (e.g., keyword1.def).
Pick Open.
The keywords contained in the definition file will be loaded into the Selected Keyword List.
Save File
If you import on a regular basis from a CAM application that you know only supports a subset (or all) of the VX CAM field keywords and only in a certain order, you can use the save file button to display the File Browser and save the contents of the Selected Keyword List to a field keyword definition file. Once you do this, every time you need to import from that CAM application, you can use the read file button (see above) to fill in the necessary Selected Keyword List automatically.
Enter a file name to save to (e.g., keyword1.def).
Pick Open.
The field keywords in the Selected Keyword List will be saved to the specified definition file.
OK
Accepts the Selected Keyword List and closes the form.
Reset
Resets the form to the system default settings or the options that were active that last time the OK button was picked.
Cancel
Closes the form without accepting the Selected Keyword List.
Left-click selects and highlights a field keyword from a list. You can also drag over multiple field keywords to select them.
After selecting one or more field keywords from a list using the left mouse button, middle or right-click to display the Object Editormenu. This menu contains functions to apply to the selected fields (e.g., Add, Remove, etc.).
