Tool Type

If you are importing a CAM tool library, pick this button and then select the tool type to import (e.g., mill, flame, ream, bore, tap, drill, counterbore, countersink, or center).

 

Field delimitor

Specifies the character used as field delimitors within the ASCII file. Select comma, tab, or other. If other is selected, enter the character in the space provided. If you are unsure what delimitor character is used, the import file is displayed in the form for review.

 

First line is Field Keywords?

Pick yes or no if the first line of text in the import file designates field keywords and if you want to import them. The field keywords represent the property names located on the appropriate CAM manager form buttons (e.g., name, class, type, subtype, etc of the Tool Manager Form). If you pick yes, an attempt will be made to map the field keywords from the import file to those used in VX CAM.

 

More Options

Displays the CAM Library Import Detailed Options Form for additional field keyword options.

 

 

 

OK

Accepts all import options and begins importing the CAM library file.

 

If any existing CAM objects are to be modified, you are notified and given the opportunity to accept or discard the changes for each object. Once the import is complete, the CAM Library Activity Report is displayed.

 

Reset

Resets the form to the system default settings or the options that were active that last time the OK button was picked.

 

Cancel

Cancels the Import CAM Library function and closes the form.
