Export CAM Objects

Tools Export Objects (CAM Level)

You can export tool types (e.g., mill, flame, ream, bore, etc.), machines, and speed/feed objects from the active CAM process plan to an ASCII delimitated SQL format text file that can then be imported into other VX CAM process plans or into other CAM applications. The library consists of all of the tool types, machines or speed/feed objects currently defined in the active plan.

1. Select Tools > Export Objects.

2. Select the CAM object class that you want to export and then pick OK to display the CAM Object Export Options Form and continue.

Machine

Exports information from the following forms for all machine objects currently defined in the active CAM process plan:

CAM Machine Manager

Tool Holder Manager

Machine Tool Changer Form

Machine Details Form

Machine Axes Limits Form

Machine Sequence Files Form

Machine Programming Details Form

Tool

Exports information from the following forms for all tool objects currently defined in the active CAM process plan:

CAM Tool Manager

Tool Properties Form

Mill Tool Shape Form
Ream Tool Shape Form
Bore Tool Shape Form
Tap Tool Shape Form
Drill Tool Shape Form
Counterbore Tool Shape Form
Countersink Tool Shape Form
Center Tool Shape Form

Speed/Feed

Exports information from the following forms for all speed/feed objects currently defined in the active CAM process plan:

CAM Speed Feed Manager Form

Speeds Form

Feeds Form

OK

Accepts the current selection, close the form, and displays the CAM Object Export Options Form.

Cancel

Cancels the CAM export and closes the form.
