Steps to Advanced Rendering
VX provides many advanced rendering features. Follow the basic steps in the order listed below to prepare a part or assembly for rendering. Links are provided to additional help topics.

Use the modeling tools available to create the part or assembly
to be rendered. Rendering occurs at the part level.
Position the Part or Components for the Scene
Use the Edit Menu at the part level to manipulate part objects or the AssemblyDesign Tool Bar
to
position and align components as desired.
Modify Face Attributes as Desired
At the part level, pick Attributes>Face... to display the Face
Attributes Form. Use this form to apply attributes to selected faces.
These attributes will appear in the rendered scene.
Attach Texture Attributes to Faces as Desired
At the part level, pick Visualize Tool Tab >Set Texture Attributes to display the Texture
Attributes Form. Use this form to apply texture attributes to selected
faces as desired. These attributes will appear in the rendered scene.
Create and Position Light Sources as Desired
At the part level, pick Tools>Light Source to display the Light Source Tool Bar. Use this tool bar to create and position light sources. The light emitted from these sources will appear in the rendered scene. You can also use this tool bar to modify an existing light source or right-click on the light source marker to edit that light source.

Modify Rendering Attributes as Desired
At the part level, pick Attributes>Render... to display the Rendering Attributes
Form. Use this form to set rendering, output, and file settings to
the scene.
Orient the View of the Scene as Desired
At the part level, pick View to display
the View Menu and select a method for orienting the scene or pick
the Dynamic View icon to view the scene dynamically.
At the part level, pick Tools>Render... to render the scene based on the setting
in Rendering Attributes Form. The rendered scene will either be displayed
in the rendering window or written to a file in the selected format.
