Use this command to inquire
the length of a line, arc, curve, or edge. You can also inquire a length
summation by selecting multiple items to measure.
The Variable option (3D Only) can be used to assign
the queried distance to a variable and log the variable to the active
part's history. This contributes to the "family-of-parts" functionality
by allowing the part to be driven during a history regen by variables
derived from queried distances.
Select a line, arc, curve, or edge to measure. The length appears in the Current Curve field.
Select another line, arc, curve, or edge or move. Move the cursor over additional items. The new length and total length for each is displayed in the Last Curve and Summation fields.
Pick OK to close the form.
Variable - Use this option to log a variable to the active part's history whose value equals the inquired angle. The variable can then be used in any expression, equation or VX macro.
