Project a Reference Point (F7)
Insert
Reference Geometry (Sketch
Level)
Use this command to create a reference point
on the sketch plane by projecting a 3D point. If the 3D point is moved,
the projected point will update the next time the active part or sketch
is updated. Select a point to project.
You can project the origin of a datum plane by setting the point input
option to Critical (i.e., Right-click
> Critical).

Replace
Use this option to replace one reference point with a newly created reference point. The new point will inherit the database index and unique id of the old point. Any geometry attached to the old reference point will reattach itself to the new reference point the next time the part is regenerated or the sketch is solved.
Select the new reference point
on external geometry.
At the part level, select a new reference point from a component other
than the active part. At the sketch level, select a new reference point
from the active part or any other component if the active part is an assembly.
Pick the Regenerate Current Object icon (part level)
or Solve Current Sketch icon (sketch level)
to regenerate the active part or sketch using the new reference point.
