Hatch
Patterns (2D)
Geometry Design
Tool Bar (Drawing Sheet Level)
Use these commands to create and regenerate hatch patterns associated with Drawing Sheet geometry. You can select the hatch pattern using the Command Options Form and modify the default attributes for each pattern by selecting Attributes > Hatch and modifying the Hatch Attributes Form.

This command creates a hatch pattern within a boundary. You can split the boundary and specify the hatch pattern. Hatch entities will propagate to detail views of a section view. They will inherit the attributes of the original hatch area and can be modified via the Hatch Attributes Form. Refer to the Required and Optional Inputs below for more details.

Required Inputs (Create Hatch
Pattern)
Entities
- Select the boundary entities that will enclose the hatch pattern.
You can middle-click to select all non-hidden
curves in your drawing sheet. However,
this may take more time if you have a lot of geometry. You
can also window select just a group of entities.
Inside- Indicate the interior of the hatch boundary.
Optional Inputs (Create Hatch Pattern)
Split Boundary - Check this box to split overlapping hatch boundaries. Splitting boundaries will influence which regions are hatched.
Pattern - Use this option to select the hatch pattern to use. The default pattern is defined by the Hatch Attributes Form. The table of Standard Hatch Patterns contains the ID values and names of each pattern. A preview of the selected pattern will be displayed.
This command redefines the boundary of a hatch
pattern. First
pick the hatch pattern to select the boundary. Then,
select any additional geometry that redefines the boundary and indicate
the new interior of the pattern.
