Angular (Sketch/Sheet Level)
Use this command to create 2D angular dimensions at the sketch and drawing sheet level. The command supports different dimension types. You can dimension between two lines, horizontal, vertical and arcs.
Angular Dimension
(2 Lines) (2D)
Use
this dimension type to create an angular dimension between two lines.
Required Inputs
1st line/2nd line - Select the first and second lines to dimension between.
Text point - Specify the location of the dimension text.
Angular Dimension
(Horizontal) (2D)
Use this dimension type to create an angular dimension between a line and the nearest horizontal reference.
Required Inputs
1st line - Select the line to dimension.
Text point - Specify the location of the dimension text.
Angular Dimension
(Vertical) (2D)
Use
this dimension type to create an angular dimension between a line and
the nearest vertical reference.
Required Inputs
1st line - Select the line to dimension.
Text point - Specify the location of the dimension text.
Angular
Dimension (3 Points) (2D)
Use
this dimension type to create an angular dimension defined by three points.
The second point defines the vertex of the angle. This command is only
available at the Drawing Sheet Level.
Required Inputs
Start, Base, End point - Select three points to dimension.
Text point- Specify the location of the dimension text.
Use this dimension type to create an angular
dimension of an arc.
Required Inputs
Arc - Select the arc to dimension.
Text point - Specify the location of the dimension text.

(2D Angular Dimension Commands)


Select the icon to either center or not center the dimension text between the extension lines. If not center is selected, the dimension location point will also dynamically locate the text.
Text
Use this option to determine how the text of the dimension is generated. Select from the following:
Value - The dimension text will default to the actual dimension value.
User Text - The dimension text defined in the User Text field (see below) is displayed instead of the dimension value.
User text
Defines the dimension text that is displayed instead of the actual dimension value. Used in conjunction with the User Text option above. Enter the user text in the field provided. You can also right-click in the graphics window to activate the Text and Dimension Editor. It provides additional options for creating special characters and symbols within the text.
Placement
Use this option to determine the placement of the dimension in relation to the selected lines.

Dimensions the smaller angle between the two lines. |

Quadrant |
Dimensions the quadrant selected by the location of the dimension text. |

Outside |
Dimensions the larger angle between the two lines. |
