Line (Part Level)
![]()
Use this command to create a line between two points
and in the same direction as a reference line, edge, or direction. A reference
point is selected that along with the reference line, determines the plane
on which the line resides.
The start and end of the line can be determined by entering a distance from the reference point or by selecting points. The direction of the line will pass through the reference point.
Direction - Specify a reference direction. You can select a line or right-click for more input options.
Base point - Select a reference point. This point will locate the plane of the line and the parallel distance from the reference direction.
1st point - Specify a distance to the line's start point or middle-click to start the line at the reference point. You can also drag the cursor to a start point.
2nd point - Specify a distance to the line's end point. This distance is measured from the reference point and not the start point of the line (if they are different). As with the start point, you can also drag the cursor to a end point.
