Use this command to create
a specified number of points at a set distance apart on a curve or edge
starting at the curve's nearest endpoint.
Curve -Select the end of the curve to start the points on. An arrow will appear at the end of the curve to show where the point series will start. You can select more than one curve. Points will be located on each. Middle-click to continue.
Distance -Specify the distance between the points on the curve. Note that the distance is curvilinear as measured along the curve.
Number -Specify the total number of points to create or middle-click to create points on the entire length of the curve. Note that the first point is created on the endpoint of the curve.
Extension
Use this option to control the path of the points if the
they go beyond the end of the curve.
Linear - The extension follows a linear path.
Arc - The extension follows an arc path in the direction of curvature.
Reflect - The extension follows a reflective path opposite the direction of curvature.
If the distance times the number of points is greater than the current curve length, the curve is first extended using the current mode of the Extension option.
