Face Fillet Feature
Insert
Fillet/Chamfer
Use this command to create a fillet between
two faces or shapes.
The required inputs include the faces
to fillet and the fillet radius.
Optional inputs are available to modify the supporting faces and methods for trimming the ends of the fillets. See below.
1st face
Select the first face or shape to fillet. The arrows indicate the side of the surface or face to be filleted.
Reverse side
Check this box to flip the arrows to the opposite side.
2nd face
Select the second face or shape to fillet.
Reverse side
Arrows appear indicating which side of face 2 to fillet. Check this box to flip the arrows to the opposite side.
Radius
Specify the fillet radius.
Base faces
Use these options to modify the supporting faces. Select from the following:
No Action - leave the base faces as is.
Divide - divide the base faces at the fillet tangents.
Trim - divide and trim away the base faces at the fillet tangents.
Sew - divide, trim and sew the base faces with the fillet faces.
Fillet face
Select from the following methods of trimming the ends of the fillets.
Maximal - trim the fillet to the wider pair of face boundaries.
Minimal - trim the fillet to the narrower pair of face boundaries.
Tangent Match - create a blended curve matching the tangency of the boundaries of the two supporting faces.
