Sketch
Settings
Edit (Sketch Level)
Use this form to set a variety of sketch settings.
These settings
apply to the active part only. Refer
to the VX Configuration Form for settings that
apply to all VX parts.
Adjust the sketch settings as needed.
Pick OK,
Reset, or Cancel.
Grid Spacing - Sets the sketch grid spacing.
Enable "Smart Pick" - When checked, cursor movement will automatically detect and highlight fixed and relational pick points. This is referred to as "Smart Pick."
Enable
constraint solver -
When checked, the sketch constraint solver is enabled.
If you
disable this option, then all sketch geometry will "free" of
any constraints or dimensions.
|
Normally, the sketch constrain solver should NEVER be disabled since it would then be possible to create "unsolvable" systems. It should only be disabled as a last resort under certain rare circumstances. For example, if you import 80,000 to 100,000 objects into a sketch, VX may slow to a halt while attempting to solve all of the constraints involved. |
Auto constrain new geometry - When checked, constraints will be automatically created and placed with new sketch geometry. This is referred to as "Auto Constrain."
Auto dimension new geometry - When checked, dimensions will be automatically created and placed with new sketch geometry. This is referred to as "Auto Dimension."
