Insert Projector (Planar)

Invoked ByInsert go to Projector (Part Level)

Use this command to create a planar projector used when creating color, bump, and stencil texture attribute features with the Texture Attribute Form. Planar projectors project an image through a rectangular solid in object space. The image will fall onto intersecting portions of mapped surfaces in the same manner as objects held in front of a film projector.

Planar projectors are defined by specifying a reference frame located at the lower-left corner of the rectangular solid, along with the width and height of the mapping area specified in units of object space.

  1. Select a reference frame. It can be a datum plane, face, or sketch.

  2. Specify the projector height.

  3. Specify the projector width.

  4. Enter a name for the feature. If you don't enter a name one will be assigned for you. See VX Note.
