Edit Dimension Text (2D)Use this command at the Drawing Sheet Level to modify a dimension's text string. This command replaces the dimension value with user text.  See Using Embedded Text Variables to learn how you can embed part attribute data and other variables text strings.
 

  1. Select the dimension to modify.

  2. Select Value or User Text.

    Value     - The dimension text will default to the actual dimension value.
    User Text     - The dimension text will be entered by the user.

 

  1. If User Text is selected, enter the new dimension text or right-click and select Editor from the Input Options Menu. If the dimension is currently user text, the text string will be displayed in the Text Input Window (or the Text and Dimension Editor) for modification.
