License Manager (File/Object
Level)
Use this form to manage VX licenses. Select a menu item from
the links below.
Use this function to install a new password to the local
machine.
Obtain the VX password from your dealer and enter it exactly as provided without spaces. The password is case sensitive and may contain alphanumeric or other keyboard characters.
If you do not have a password, STOP now. Make a note of the system ID and software version displayed on the VX Hardware Key Password Form shown above, pick Cancel and then contact your VX dealer.

Choose from the following password options and then pick OK to continue.
Enter a new local password for this computer
Enter the password exactly as provided without spaces. If you enter a password with a system id that matches the local computer then it installs the password locally. If you enter a password with a system id that is different then you are asked if this is for a floating license.
If you pick No, the install terminates. If you pick Yes, you are asked if you want to install this floating license password to the local computer or to the license server. If you pick Local then it adds the password locally, otherwise it sends the password to the license server to be installed there, and it adds a local entry pointing to this server.
Enter the name of your license server (floating license)
Enter the name of your local license server. This assumes that a password has been installed on the server (See above). If it can get validation from the server, it will add a local entry to point to this server. This assumes that you have the VX license server running on a machine that is accessible on your local network.
Get a new local password from the VX Corp. Internet password server
If your system id and password data has been added to the VX server then you can use this option to get the password directly from "support.vx.com" and have it installed automatically. Important Note: If your system id is NOT in the VX database then this method and the email method below will return a 3 day temporary password (for VX Designer and Mold Edition).
If there is no valid password for your system id, you can choose to run VX in either a "Viewer Mode" or a "Demo Mode". See VX Viewer for more information about Viewer Mode. Demo Mode will run VX with a special license that has a built in memory limit. Once you exceed this limit, all file output is disabled. If you plan to work with large test files, then use the 3 day temporary password. Once the 3 day password expires, VX will revert back to Demo Mode.
Enter your email address to get a new local password via email
This option is basically the same as above except that it's done via email. Once you enter your email address, a menu will appear with your mail server filled in. If its not, you need to specify a valid email server through which you can send mail. Once VX receives your email it will be automatically forwarded to the password server. A response will be emailed back to the email address that you entered. This usually takes around 5-6 minutes.
Use this function to delete a password from the local machine.
Select a license to delete from the currently installed list of licenses and pick OK to continue.

Pick Yes if you are sure you want to delete the selected license. The password for the specified license will be deleted. Pick Continue.

Use this function to install the hardware key driver.
The Windows® hardware key (dongle) attaches to the local printer port and allows VX to run on two or more stand alone machines using a single VX license. A VX floating license is not required. For example, you can install VX with the same license on a workstation and a notebook PC. VX will operate on either machine that has the hardware key attached. The hardware key driver must be installed before VX will recognize the hardware key (a reboot may be necessary).
To install the hardware key driver, select the menu item.
Use this function to uninstall the hardware key driver. To
