Superposed line and circles

Menu access: Curves | Manage | Superposed line and circles

Description:

Allows to clean the superposed line and circles out of an imported file (as DWG or IGES for example).

It analyses the relative position of the lines and arcs and rebuild a single element from two distinct ones if they are in the given tolerances.

General philosophy:

  1. Set the linear and angular tolerance you want to use.

  2. Select the curve to take in consideration.

  3. Set the rebuilding parameters in the dialog box.

Available Option(s) :

The button  ALL CURVES  allows you to select all the curves from the active levels.

Description of the dialog box:

You can choose to delete the original curves.

In the case you do not, you can set a level to move them.

You can set the attributes that must be identical on both curves for the cleaning being applied.

You can also chose a destination level for the new curves.

Specific point(s):

The rebuilding is made with the current colour and line type and thickness.

Once the operation has ended, the number of rebuilt lines and arcs is displayed in the alpha bar.

It may be necessary to do the function several times until the message tell that not any curve has been rebuilt. This allows to get more precise result. The reconstruction actually may create a new curve which is in tolerance with an other curve.
