Description:
Allows to reduce the number of point of a curve.
The curve is rebuilt with a given tolerance by distributing on the curve a number of interpolation points included in a given value and the actual number of interpolation points.
![]()
Principe:
To rebuild the curve, a number of interpolation points are distributed along the original curve. This number is included in the given value and the actual number of points on a way to respect the tolerance.
General philosophy:
Select the "REDUCTION OF POINTS" mode.
Select the curve to smooth.
Give the linear and angular tolerance to use and the minimum interpolation points number.
Validate with OK .
Specific point(s):
The points are not regularly distributed
on the curve. They are positioned on a way to use the smaller number of
points and respect the given tolerance.
