2 points sketch line
Menu access: Curve | Other curves | Lines | Sketch 2 points line.
Description:
Construction of a sketch line through 2 points, curve or faces.
The sketch lines are created in the xOy plane of the current coordinate system.
The grid frame graphically limits them.

General philosophy:
Select the first point or curve.
Select the second point or curve.
Available option(s):
If you select a curve, it is possible
to change the angle value between the curve and the sketch line by using
the following cell:
. In the case you selected a point; this
cell is not taken in consideration.
The button FACE
allows
you to give face as first or second reference element instead of a point
or a curve.
You can then give the contact angle of the sketch line with the face.
The line is created on the
current coordinate system, so the reference face must intersect it.
Example(s):
Sketch line between two points.

Sketch line between a face and a
point.

Specific point(s):

Caution, if you set
an angular constraint on each extremity of the line, you must be sure
that:
the constraints completely define the line and not only a direction (an infinity of solution),
the constraints are coherent (a solution exists).
Modification(s) possible(s):
You can move the line by using the
icon
, and selecting the point to move. You can also use
the dimensions to control the points position.
You can change the angular values
by using the icon
.
