Line on curve

Menu access: Curve | Other curves | Line on curve

Description:

Creates a line relative to the existing curve.

General philosophy:

  1. Select the reference curve.

  2. Choose its positive direction.

  3. Set the angle of the line with the curve.

  4. Enter the line length.

  5. Select the references point (usually a point near the curve).

Available Option(s) :

The drop down list allows you to choose if the line will be PERPENDICULAR , TANGENT or with a given ANGLE with the reference curve.

The  Alignment= NORMAL  or  CENTERED  option allows you to choose the position of the line relatively to the projected point on the curve.

It is possible to select a new reference curve thanks to the button  CHANGE REFERENCE CURVE  .

Specific point(s):

In the case the reference point is not on the reference curve, it is projected on it in order to define the position of the line on curve.

Available modification(s):

The icon allows you to change the angle and the length of the line.
