Line
See also: Bisector line , Polar line , Lines menu
Menu access: Curve | Line
Description:
Creates a line limited by two elements as points or curves.
![]()
General philosophy:
Select the first point or curve.
Select the second point or curve.
Available Option(s) :
You can draw bisector lines using
BISECTRIX
.
You can draw polar line using POLAR
.
The FACE
button
allows you to give a starting or ending face.
The line is created on the
current coordinate system, so the reference face must intersect it.
You can modify the angle between
the line and the tangent to the reference curve or face (by default 0°)
with ![]()
Example(s):
Lines between two points.
|
|
Lines between a point and a line:
|
|
a : 90° of angular constraint.
b : 80° of angular constraint (side function of the point selection). |
Lines between a line (90° of
angular constraint) and a circle:
|
|
a : 90° of angular constraint
b : 0° of angular constraint (side function of the point selection). |
Lines between two circles.

|
Specific point(s):
Warning, if an angular
constraint already exists at each line extremity, you need to have the
line created :
Constraints have to totally defined the line and not only its direction (infinity of solutions).
Constraints must be coherent (no solution).
Available modification(s):
The
icon allows you
to change the contact angle of the line.
The
icon allows you
to move the line or its extremities.
