Intersection

Menu access: Curve | Other curves | Intersection

Description:

Creates an intersection curve between faces and shapes.

General philosophy:

  1. Select the intersecting face.

  2. Select the intersected face.

Available Option(s) :

You can choose to take into account all faces of both shapes (intersecting and intersected) by using the  ALL FACES  button in the first question.

You can choose an intersecting plane by selecting the  PLANE  button.

In here, you can use the button  THROUGH POINT  to select a passing point for the plane and a reference plane (or planar face) to set the orientation of the plane trough this point.

You can choose to take into account all faces of the intersected shape by using the  ALL FACES  button in the second question.

When the computation gives several results, you can choose between getting one or several intersections by using the option Mode= ALL CURVES  or  ONE CURVE .

At any time you can change the intersecting face by using the  CHANGE INTERSECTING FACE  button.

The option  Sew curve = YES allows you to sew together the resulting curves.

Example(s):

Intersection curve between the two red faces.

Specific point(s):

The intersection you get stops to the face limitations.
