Menu access: Curve | Other curves | Division

Description:

Allows to divide a curve in several parts by using various methods.

The division creates new curves. The original one is kept.

Back to main page

General philosophy:

  1. Select the "points" mode (third picture).

  2. Select the curve(s) to divide.

  3. Select the cutting points or curves.

Option(s) disponible(s):

It is possible to set the associativity level between the original curve and the curves that result from the division by using the option   Follow= SUBSEQUENT OPERATIONS  or  EXISTING OPERATIONS  .

The option  Curves= INVISIBLE  or  VISIBLE  allows you to hide or not the original curve after the division.

Example(s):

Division by points:

Points are projected on the curve in order to define the cutting point on the curve.

Division by curves:

The curve is trimmed at the intersection points.

Specific point(s):

If the point can be projected on several places on the curve, it is projected on the closest one.

If the cutting curve intersects several times the curve to divide, it will be divided as many time there are intersection between them.
