Contour 3D - Wizards
![]()
Select on the WIZARDS button to access to the following features:
The button ORIENTATE
COORDINATE SYSTEM allows
you to change the orientation of the coordinate system on the contour
extremity using another coordinate system or a face as reference.
If you are using the mode Constraints definition coordinate system= CURRENT COORDINATE SYSTEM , this feature create a "permanent" coordinate system.
The button GO
TO FRAME / FACE allows
you to draw a segment from the contour extremity up to a face or a coordinate
system.
If you are using the mode Constraints definition coordinate system= CURRENT COORDINATE SYSTEM , this feature create a "permanent" coordinate system and become the constraints definition coordinate system.
Two modes are available in the feature:
Mode= PERPENDICULAR :The segment created between the contour extremity and selected coordinate system (or face) is perpendicular to it.
Mode= EXTENDED : The previous segment is extended up to the selected coordinate system (or face) with the same direction.
In both modes, you can set a margin between
the destination coordinate system (or face) and the new point created
by using the option
.

The button CUBE
allows
you to draw a succession of segments by using a route based on the edges
of a virtual block.
To do this, a second point is asked to display a transparent block between this point and the contour extremity.
At this step, you can set the block orientation by using the following option:
Alignment= CONSTRAINTS COORDINATE SYSTEM : the axis of the constraints definition coordinate system are used for the orientation of the block.
Alignment= DEFINITION COORDINATE SYSTEM : the axis of the definition coordinate system (selected at the beginning of the function) are used for the orientation of the block.
This option is available only if the constraints definition coordinate system (the green one) is not the same than the one selected at the beginning of the function.
You can see the route that will be used along the edges. You can change it by using the OTHER WAY button and validate you choice using the OK button.

The button ARRIVE
ON COORDINATE SYSTEM allows
you to draw the contour up the origin of a coordinate system by getting
onto its Z axis and move along this axis up to the origin.
An alignment constraint is automatically create on the last segment according to the Z axis of the destination coordinate system.
Two mode are available to influence the way the segment between the extremity contour and the Z axis is created:
Mode= PROJECTION : the extremity point of the contour is projected on the Z axis of the destination coordinate system. So, the contour will follow this projection and then move along the Z axis.
Mode= INTERSECTION : the segment created is perpendicular to the Z axis and to the previous segment of the contour.
