Blend of curves

See also: Spline fillet

Menu access: Curve | Other curves | Blend

Description:

Allows you to create a curve connecting two separate curves by a chamfer or fillet.

Only the "Spline fillet" mode is associative.

General philosophy:

  1. Enter the fillet radius.

  2. Select the first curve near the end to connect by the fillet.

  3. Select the second curve near the end to connect by the fillet.

  4. Select the next curves to connect.

Available Option(s) :

You can Trim the curves or not using the option  Trim curves= YES  or  NO .

In case your curves are not trimmed, an arc of circle is created and the initial curves are not modified.

In the case the curves are trimmed, you can use the option  Link curves= YES  or  NO  which links the curves and the blend together.

The option  Go on= NO  or  YES  allows you to go on with the blend creation using the last curve selected and a new one.

The  CHAMFER  button allows you to define a chamfer instead of a fillet to link the two curves. The chamfer can be defined by an angle and a length or by two length.

You can create blend on a way they appear as arcs of circle in a specific plane using the  3D FILLET  button.

Specific point(s):

If the fillet radius is null, the curves will be connected without fillet.

Available modification(s):

You can change the radius value using the icon .
