Axis
Menu access : Curve | Axis
Description :
This function allows you to create different axis. You can create the axes of circles, ellipses, cylindrical or conical faces. You can also create the axis between two lines (bisectrix).

General philosophy:
Select the elements you want to create the axis from.
Available Option(s) :
You can draw axis between
several elements with the button AXIS
BETWEEN TWO ELEMENTS .
You can then choose to draw all the element
axis or only the main axis using the option Mode=ALL

ONE
AXIS .![]()
The button OK allows you to exit the option "axis between two elements".
The creation of an axis between
two elements is the same than the creation of a bissectrix curve. Contrary
to the creation of a middle
curve which use the middle points of the extremities of the
two elements.
The LONG
AXIS button
allows you to extend several collinear axis in order to join them.
For that, select all the axis you wish to join.
When you work in a 2D document, the
PROJECTED
AXIS button
allows you to create axis according to the shapes in the 3D document.![]()

Specific point(s):
Several axes can be created
at the same time. They are independent, you can delete one of them without
affecting the other one.
You can set the default offset length of the axis and its representation in the Tool
| Option menu.
Available modification(s):
Using the icon
you can:
change the reference element of the axis,
change the offset value of the axis.
