Axis

Menu access : Curve | Axis

Description :

This function allows you to create different axis. You can create the axes of circles, ellipses, cylindrical or conical faces. You can also create the axis between two lines (bisectrix).

General philosophy:

Select the elements you want to create the axis from.

Available Option(s) :

You can draw axis between several elements with the button  AXIS BETWEEN TWO ELEMENTS .

You can then choose to draw all the element axis or only the main axis using the option  Mode=ALL AXES  or  ONE AXIS .

The button  OK  allows you to exit the option "axis between two elements".

The creation of an axis between two elements is the same than the creation of a bissectrix curve. Contrary to the creation of a middle curve which use the middle points of the extremities of the two elements.

The  LONG AXIS  button allows you to extend several collinear axis in order to join them.

When you work in a 2D document, the  PROJECTED AXIS  button allows you to create axis according to the shapes in the 3D document.

Axes on circular 3D elements.
