Around a point

Menu access: Curve | Other curve | Around a point

Description:

Allows to create a curve by using a succession of curve around a point.

General philosophy:

  1. Configure the options in the dialog box according to your needs.

  2. Select the curves to take in consideration.

  3. Click a point inside the area defined by the curves to use.

Available option(s):

The button  ALL CURVES  allows to use all the curves on the screen.

Description of the dialog box:

Cliquez sur les options pour obtenir plus d'informations.

You can delete or not the initial curves using the delete curves option.

You can take in consideration for the sewing only the curves belonging to a plane using the working plane option. The plane to use will be asked.

You can project the result on a plane you define afterwards.

You can add constraints for the sewing of curves with different attributes. The sewing will be made only to the curves with the same attributes (color, line-type and/or layer).

The Result area allows you to choose the king of curve you will get.

If you tick the option "Hatch result", hatching will be added inside the curve.

The gaps between two extremities can be filled either by extending the curves or adding lines in the gap but also by adjusting the curve geometry ( For example, the extremity of an original line will be move to the extremity of an other line before the sewing)

If you set markers to the ends, small circles are added at the extremities of the resulting curves.

Specific point(s):

The function do not manage well the tangent curves. If some of curves to take in consideration are tangent arcs, TopSolid will probably not be able to create the curve.

In the case the selected curves are not continuous or with different attribute (colour, layer, line type), the curves used will be the ones the closest of the selected point.
