Reference element to turn down the section:

 

In the example above, the two revolved sections have been created with a different reference element (the element used is represented with the same color than the title of the corresponding section).

The section is turned down by pivoting around the selecting element. The reference element is then aligned with the cutting line.

The reference element is intuitively defined according to the selected element. For example, if you select a circle or the edge of a cylinder, its axis will be used.

You can select the element in the same view as the reference view and as well in any other view (even an isometric view).
