If the 3D document contains simplified representations of shapes (see Shape | Other Shapes | Define representation), you can choose to do the projection with the representation:

• DETAILED: all the shapes use the detailed representation.

• SIMPLIFIED: all the shapes use the simplified representation if they have one.

• MIXED: all the shapes are projected with the representation used at the moment in the 3d document.

In this last mode, there is no associativity between the 2D and 3D document regarding the representation used. The 2D view will not change if the representation in the 3D document changed.
