Aligned section
Menu access : View | Aligned section
Description :
Creates an aligned section view from an existing view.

General philosophy :
Select the reference view.
Select the section line to use or click on CONTOUR to create it.
Then choose between.
OK Confirm the section line.
INVERT Invert the direction of the section line arrows.
EXTREMITIES Allows you to extend or to shorten section line extremities.
Select the segment of the section line that define the projection direction.
Confirm with OK .
Position the view.
Available option(s):
The button CUTTING
CURVE DEFINE IN THE 3D MODEL allows
you to select a cutting curve first created in the 3D model with the Option
| Cross section polygon function. This allows you to get a
section without any reference view.
You can change the letter used in
the cross section line and its text height by using the following options:
Cross section line name= and Text height= .
You can choose to align the section
view relatively to its reference view by using the option :
Alignment= YES or NO
When the section view is not aligned
you can set it upright with :
Set the section view upright= YES or NO

Specific point(s) :
If the document contains only one
view, the selection of the reference view is not required.
To use the axis of a circle (or an
arc) as section line, simply click on the circle for its axis to appear.
You can now select it.
The reference segment must be parallel
with one of the extremities segments of the cutting line (So, it's better
to select directly one of the extremities).
Available modification(s):
With the icon
, you
can:
modify the title and its position around the section view by selecting the title,
modify the other parameters by selecting the view.
modify the direction and the extremity of the section line.
modify the segment of the section line that define the projection direction by selection the section line and using the button MODIFY HOOKING SEGMENT.
Use the View | Modify alignment to locate
the view wherever you want in your drawing.
