Detail view
Menu access: View | Detail view.
Description:
Makes a detail view from every existing view (front, perspective...)
![]()
General philosophy:
Select the reference view.
Select the trimming line.
Position the view.
Available option(s):
You can chose the scale of the detail
view.(the default value is 2)
You can choose between two modes
to control the scale of the detail view:
Mode= ABSOLUTE : The scale applied does not take in consideration the reference view and use as reference scale the absolute scale of the drawing (that can be change by using the "modify" function and selecting the drawing border).
Mode= RELATIVE TO VIEW : The scale applied takes in consideration the scale of the reference view. As example, if the reference view use a scale 1/2, and the scale of the detail view is set to 2, the detail view will have a scale of 1 according to the drawing and a scale of 2 according to the reference view.
The button CIRCLE
allows
you to directly create a detail view limited by a circle to create. ![]()
The button RECTANGLE
allows
you to directly create a detail view limited by a circle to create. ![]()
Example(s):

Specific point(s):
If the document contains only one
view, the selection of the reference view is not required.

Interrupted views
and detail views cannot take the "shading view" mode.
In case of a detail view created
from an interrupted view, if the trimming curve is straddling the two
parts of the interrupted view, TopSolid/Draft create
a detail view without considering the interruption: the detail view is
not interrupted.
Coordinate dimensions in detail views
are computed compared to the coordinate system of the main view (if it
is not a constrained dimension). The dimension gives coordinates of the
point in the origin view.
Available modification(s):
