Auxiliary view

Menu access: View | Auxiliary view

Description:

Makes an auxiliary view from an existing view

General philosophy:

  1. Select the reference view.

  2. Choose the representation of the edge and click on AUXILIARY VIEW.

  3. Position the view.

Available option(s):

You can choose the representation of the smooth edges to project.

You can choose the display type of the hidden lines.

The scale of the auxiliary view apply the scaling value of the main view, but you can fix a scale factor ratio in the case the view created is a perspective view.

Specific point(s) :

If the document contains only one view, the selection of the reference view is not required.

Available modification(s):

Using the icon , you can change all the projection parameters except the orientation.

If you want to change the scaling factor of only this view, you have to tick the option "Local scale factor definition" in the dialog box that appear.
