Menu access : Tools | dimension 3D

Description :

Allows to create driven and passive dimensions to parameterize elements position in 3 dimensions.

General philosophy:

Select the element(s) to create a dimension :

• 2 points on different coordinate systems

• a line

• a segment of a contour

• a point and a line...

Available option(s):

The AUTOMATIC DIMENSION button allows you to quickly create all the dimensions of a 3D contour created  with the Curve | Other Curves | contour 3D function.

The PLANE button allows you to select a plane as element to dimension. You can create the dimension between a point and a plane (coordinate system or a flat face) or between two plane.

Specific point(s) :

You can not use 2D dimensions (Tools | dimension) and 3D dimensions on the same element.

You can use and to modify the dimensions afterwards .
