The assembly tree

Edit an assembly :
When you include the different element of your assembly a MAIN ASSEMBLY is automatically created, this is the assembly tree. To display it, you just have to open the symbolic tree and choose ASSEMBLY in the combo list :

You can use the assembly tree like the symbolic tree of an element, when you click on a part (component) with the left button of your mouse the color of the part's edges change. |

Operations on the assembly :
When you do a right click mouse on the assembly name, a contextual menu appears allowing you to modify this assembly...

This menu is nearly the same than the one that appears when you edit a part and you do a right click mouse on the part's name (see Edit an element chapter). New available function are : Insert, Empty set and Sort. The "Insert" function allows to add element in the set, for example it allows to add parts designed in the assembly document in the main assembly. Then these parts can be used in the creation of other assemblies, in the projection of the assembly or in the creation of an exploded view... The "Empty set" function allows to quicky extract all the parts of the set. The "Sort" function allows to sort the set's elements using different criteria :

This menu is nearly the same as the one that appears when you edit a part and you do a right click mouse on the part's name (see Edit an element chapter). New functions are available : "Extract", "Bill of material = SINGLE UNIT" and "Edit template".

You can add informations in the symbolic tree of an element using the Tools | Options - Other available options :
