Using the tree
![]()
Operation modification :
The symbolic tree allows modifying element operations, in the example below, when you perform a left click with the mouse on an operation, the color of the representative edges and faces change.
For the best representation of the elements changed colors, it's recommended to work in shading mode.

When you perform a right mouse button click on an operation, a contextual menu appears allowing you to modify this operation ...

You can interact with several elements at the same time. To do this, hold the "Ctrl" key while selecting the elements you want.
This way, you can for example suppress several operations, or extract several parts from a set in one manipulation.
|
Function |
Description |
|
Analyze |
Display the operation's information (Type, attributes,...). |
|
Delete |
Erase the operation without any validation
message. You can use the You also can directly suppress a selected operation by using the "Del" key of you keyboard. |
|
Modify |
To change the operation parameters. |
|
Controls |
Display all the operation's controlling elements (contour, dimension). |
|
Tolerance = 0.001mm |
To change the modeling tolerance of the operation. This tolerance is used when modeling complex shapes (ruled shape, swept shape,...). |
|
Designation |
Allows giving an operation a designation, this designation will allows a better visualization of the operation in the tree. |
|
Activate only layer = 0 |
Activate and make current the operation's layer and de-activate all other layers. |
|
Deactivated = NO or YES |
Display or hide the operation.
See also : Shape | Manage | Deactivate operation. |
|
Keep geometry = NO or YES |
Force the keeping of an auxiliary result to optimize the part update time. When the operation geometry is kept, <> characters are displayed after the operation name. See also : Shape | Manage | Keep operation geometry. |
|
Edit |
Display the symbolic tree of another element. |
|
Edit sets |
Follow the displayed arrow to choose and display an existing set. |
|

|
Search |
To find an element in a big symbolic tree by type its name, its identifier or by picking it in the graphic area. A grey cursor is located on the found element. |
|
Root |

|
Display = FULL or SIMPLIFIED |
Display more or less information in the symbolic tree Ex : On a standard component the simplified mode hide positioning information. |
|
Sense = NORMAL or REVERSED |
Change the sense to display the symbolic tree informations. In the REVERSED mode, the elements referenced by the edited element are displayed below the edited element. In this mode the background of the tree windows is changed to grey. |
In this contextual menu, functions displayed below the separator (Edit, Edit set, Clear,...) are common to all elements.
Moving an operation :
The symbolic tree also allows modifying the order of operations, you just have to pick an operation (keep the left button mouse pressed) and drag and drop it on another operation.
|
If we move the pocket before the shell operation... The pocket operation becomes the first operation and the shell operation uses it. |
|
By default, element numbers (identifiers beginning by
the @ character) are not displayed, you can display them using the Tools | Options - Other function.
