Automatic deactivation of operations when failure
![]()
Purpose :
The purpose is to avoid to get all invalid operations when one operation fails (if this operation is not really important).
Supported operations :
Fillet and chamfer which are classified as finishing operations. These operations create faces which are not often used to hook other elements.
Implementation :
For existing documents : in the File | Properties - General, tick the Automatic deactivation when failure option in Special update of finishing operations paragraph.
To get this behaviour for the new documents, this option is also available in the Shape rubric of the Tools | Options function.
Message :
When an operation is automatically deactivated :
a message is displayed in the alpha bar (Ex : "fillet deactivated automatically test.top,@146").
its name is displayed with thin characters in the symbolic tree and it gets a special flag (red and yellow).
![]()
the operation is added to the set of deactivated operations.
Correction :
To remove all errors, you can :
Delete all the automatically deactivated operations (you can select them all at once in the part’s symbolic tree or in the set of deactivated operations).
Change the parameters or hooking : deactivated operations are reactivated as soon as possible (automatic reactivation can be deactivated using a configuration keyword).
Error message memorization :
When an operation becomes invalid, an error message is displayed in the alpha bar. This message can be displayed later using Show error message function of the contextual menu of the operation.
