Median surface of a sheet metal

Description:

Allows to compute the median surface of a sheet metal part or a shape where a converting model has been defined (Convert to a sheet metal menu)

General philosophy:

The median surface computation is launched just when the shape is selected.

Specific point(s):

The median surface created is a new element that depends on the sheet metal part.

Available option(s):

The  SHIFT THE MEDIAN SURFACE  option allows to choose the median surface location.

The  OFFSET SURFACE  mode compute the median surface by creating a parallel surface of the reference face.

The  MEDIAN SURFACE   mode compute the exact median surface even when the sheet metal part contains inclined lateral faces. This mode can be very useful with big thickness sheet metal part. However, this computation algorithm may not works on very complex sheet metal parts where faces on a side of the part doesn't have its equivalent face on the other side.
