Create sheet metal
Menu access : Sheet metal | Create sheet metal
Description :
Allows you, from a surface, to obtain a sheet metal with the desired thickness (numerical value or parameter).
General philosophy :
Select the sheet metal support surface. The matter direction is represented by an arrow :
Enter the sheet metal thickness and click OK to create the sheet metal.
Available option(s) :
The USE CURVE
option allows you to create a sheet metal from a plan curve (the selection
of several contours is not allowed).
The REMOVE FACE(S)
option allows to create the sheet metal support face by removing one or
several faces of a solid shape.
The COPY FACE(S)
option allows to create the sheet metal support face by copying one or
several faces of a shape.
The HOLLOW
option allows to create the sheet metal support face using all the faces
of a solid shape.
The AUTOMATIC
BEND RADIUS CREATION option allows you, for unfolding parts, to
create bend radius on all the edges of the part.
The INVERT
button allows you to change the arrow direction.
Specific point(s) :
It is possible to create a sheet
metal having the same thickness as an other one of the document. Click
the 
icon and select the referenced sheet metal. It allows
you to access to the thickness parameter value used for this sheet metal.
You can name this parameter or let it anonymous.
