Trim by faces

Description:
Allows you to trim a solid or surface shape by one or several faces of another solid or surface shape.

General philosophy:
Select on the "BY FACES" option.
Select the shape to trim.
Select the trimming shape.
Select the different faces to use from the trimming shape.
Available option(s):
You can choose to keep both parts
of the shape by selecting KEEP
BOTH PARTS button.
The Hide
tools= YES or
NO
option
allows you to set the trimming element invisible or not.
The Follow=
SUBSEQUENT OPERATIONS or
EXISTING
OPERATIONS allows
you to make the trimming evolve or not after its creation if you modify
afterward the tools (addition or subtraction of operations such as pocket,
drilling...) ![]()
You can choose to use all the
shell faces of the tool shape: after selecting the first face, select
the SHELL
button.
You can choose to keep a gap offset between the trimmed element
and the tool.
