Description:

Allows you to trim a solid or surface shape by a curve.

General philosophy:

  1. Select on the "BY SWEEPING CURVE" option.

  2. Select the shape to trim.

  3. Select the trimming curve.

  4. Choose the side to keep.

Available option(s):

The  Hide tools= YES  or  NO  option allows you to set the trimming element invisible or not.

The  Extend curve= YES  or  NO  option allows you to extend the trimming curve if it does not go aver the edges.

You can choose to keep both parts of the shape by selecting  KEEP BOTH PARTS  button.

You can choose between two sweeping modes:

In the "Extrusion" sweeping mode, the button  >>  allows you to access to the extrusion length of the sweeping curve options

The  INVERT DIRECTION  button allows you to set the trimmed side (indicated by the red arrow). You can also click on the arrow to invert it.

Specific point(s):

In the sweep mode "extrusion", if the curve has a null area (for example an arc blend), it is recommended to define manually the extrusion direction.
