Tangent
Menu access: Shape | Other shapes | Tangent
Description:
Allows you to create a surface tangent to an existing surface relatively to a curve or isoparametric of this surface.
![]()
General philosophy:
Select the reference surface.
Select the origin of the tangent surface (ISO or CURVE).
Give the length of the tangent surface and valid with OK .
Available option(s):
There is two type of origin to build
the tangent surface:
|
ISO |
|
|
CURVE |
|
It's possible to invert the created surface direction
by using the INVERT
DIRECTION button.
Example(s):
|
|
Tangent surface (yellow) using an ISO :
|
|
|
Tangent surface (yellow) using a CURVE (red) relatively to an isoparametric (blue).
|
Specific point(s):
The selected isoparametric is displayed
on the reference surface.
The choice of the isoparametric has
a great influence when using the curve option.
The tangent surface is computed on
the untrimmed surface.
Available modification(s):
By using the icon
,
you can:
Invert the direction.
Change the surface length.
Change the reference isoparametric value.
