Superposed sheets
Menu access : Shape | Manage | Superposed sheets
Description :
Allows you to analyze an imported file containing surfaces (IGES as example) and get the list of the superposed faces.
It is possible to set different parameters for the surfaces comparison and this way, choose the surfaces that must be considered as superposed.
General philosophy :
Select the surfaces to compare.
Confirm with OK .
The result of the analysis is listed in the symbolic tree.
Available option(s):
The button CLEAR
COMPARISON RESULT SET allows
you to empty the result list of the precedent comparison before starting
a new one.
You can change the linear and angular
tolerance to set the comparison more accurate or less rigorous.
The button ADVANCED
OPTIONS gives
you access to the following dialog box:

Activated: The comparison of B-Spline surfaces is made on 9 points distributed on the surface (8 on the periphery and one in the center). The computation is quicker is this case. Deactivated: The number of comparison points is based on the number of interpolation points of the restriction curve of the surfaces. In this case, the computation is longer but more accurate for the complex surfaces.
Keep faces: the difference is taken in account and the faces are listed in the result set. Consider as different: the difference is taken in account and the faces are not listed in the result set |
