Ruled circular on 2 curves

See also: Ruled circular on 3 curves.

Menu access: Shape | Other shapes | Ruled circular

Description:

Allows you to create a solid or surface shape by sweeping an arc between 2 curves.

General philosophy:

  1. Select the first curve and choose its direction.

  2. Select the second curve and choose its direction.

  3. Select the reference plane.

  4. Enter the starting radius.

  5. Enter the end radius.

Available option(s):

 The option  Sweep synchronisation= ARC LENGTH or  PARAMETRIC allows you to choose the type of synchronization between the curves.

The option  Section curves= VISIBLE  or  HIDDEN  allows you to keep visible or not the curves after the ruled shape is created.

Example(s):

In red: the section curves.

In green: the starting and ending radius.

In blue: the representation of intermediate arcs calculated by the computer. ( Invisible in TopSolid )

Specific point(s):

The directions of both curves must be the same.

The intermediate arcs are all built normal to the reference plane.

The values of the radius already displayed are the minimum values possible.

 You can elect all the curves by using an enclosing box. In this case, the curves will be used in their creation order.

Available modification(s):

By using the "modify" function, you can change the initial and final radius values.
